Google review link generator
The link that opens the review form directly, so your customer never has to hunt for your profile. Built in your browser: no identifier reaches us.
The official route first: the link is already in your profile
It is the only route Google documents, and the one to prefer: the link comes from Google itself, so it cannot be malformed.
- 1Open your Google Business Profile.
- 2Select “Read reviews”, then “Get more reviews”.
- 3To copy the review link, select “Copy”.
- 4The QR code sits in the same place — but it can only be generated from a computer browser, not on mobile.
No access to the profile — because you are working for a client, or the profile has not been claimed yet? The generator below builds the link from the Place ID.
Build the link from the Place ID
Paste the business's Place ID. To find it without an account or an API key, use Google's official tool
Worth knowing, and no generator says it: Google documents no URL format for this link. Its help pages (checked on 10 October 2026) only tell you to copy the link from the profile. The form used here is a widespread, working convention, but it is not guaranteed by Google and may change without notice. If you have access to the profile, the “Copy” button remains the right reflex.
The three messages to send, within the rules
The link is worthless if nobody receives it. These three messages are written to be sent to every customer, with no sorting — which is what Google's policies require.
Text message, right after the job
Hello, and thank you for your trust. If you have two minutes, a review would help us a lot — and it helps the people looking for us too: [your link]
Email, the next day
Hello, Thank you for choosing us. We ask every customer for a review, happy or not: that is how we improve, and it is what lets the next person choose with their eyes open. Here is the link, it takes under a minute: [your link] If something fell short, reply to us directly — we would rather know and put it right.
A single follow-up, one week later
Hello, just one reminder: if you would like to leave a review of our work, it is here — [your link]. And if you would rather not, that is absolutely fine, I will not ask again.
Three lines never to cross: do not ask only your satisfied customers, offer nothing in return, and do not set your team a target number of reviews. The detail, the penalties and the French legal obligation in force since 2024: our guide to collecting reviews
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between a Place ID and a CID?
The Place ID is the identifier Google exposes publicly for a place, as a string of about thirty characters. The CID is an internal, hexadecimal identifier found in some Maps addresses. Both point to the same business but they are not used in the same URLs: that is why this tool refuses a CID rather than producing a link that would open on an error.
Can I get the link from my business name?
No, and no tool can do it without querying Google's API. A name is not unique — several businesses in the same city may share it. Going through the Place ID guarantees the link opens the right profile, which matters all the more if you run several locations.
Does the link work if my customer has no Google account?
The link opens, but Google will ask for a sign-in before saving the review: posting one requires an account. That is a Google limitation, not a limitation of the link. In practice, the large majority of Android users are already signed in.
Why does my link open an error page?
Three causes, by frequency: the identifier pasted is a CID rather than a Place ID; the copy is incomplete; or the profile has been merged with another, which retires the old Place ID. In that last case, take the link straight from the profile — the route that never goes stale.
Reviews are only one of the signals that decide your position
The free audit examines the volume, freshness and replies of your reviews, then places them against the businesses appearing on your queries — alongside everything else: profile, information consistency, content, technical health. Under 15 minutes, no credit card.
